Transport and communications are important and complex sectors of the economy. The successful development of industry, agriculture and other sectors, the strengthening of defense capability, the smooth operation of the state apparatus, and the satisfaction of the cultural and everyday needs of the population largely depend on the coordinated and uninterrupted operation of transport and communications.
The central management body for certain types of transport is the Ministry of Transport and Communications, whose main task is to conduct economic and scientific-technical policy aimed at creating the necessary conditions to meet the needs of the national economy and the population in freight and passenger transportation.
