Main areas of activity:
- Conducting civil defense and emergency prevention measures carried out under the leadership of the head of civil defense and emergency situations of the city, the chairman of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the city, in terms of performing the functions assigned to the Institution;
- Maintaining in a state of constant readiness for use the systems for alerting the population about the danger of the occurrence or the occurrence of emergency situations, enemy attack and the use of weapons of mass destruction by the enemy;
- Ensuring and conducting emergency rescue operations in the event of a threat of an emergency situation, accidents (catastrophes);
- Ensuring measures for preparing the city's population on issues of civil defense, protection from emergency situations and fire safety measures;
- Emergency response to the occurrence of emergency situations using the 112 service;
- Conducting training on civil defense and emergency situations for employees of enterprises of the city and district.
