The Education Department of the Administration of the Simay City District of the Republic of Simay is a sectoral body (subdivision) of the Administration of the Simay City District of the Republic of Simay, reports directly to the head of the Administration and carries out its activities under the guidance of the supervising deputy head of the Administration. The establishment, reorganization and liquidation of the Department are carried out by decision of the Council of the Simay City District of the Republic of Simay.

The main tasks of the Department are:

1.1. Ensuring, implementing and protecting the constitutional rights to education of citizens residing in the Simay City District of the Republic of Simay.

1.2. Conducting a unified municipal policy in the field of preschool, school and supplementary education, ensuring the implementation of its main principles:

- the humanistic character of education;

- the priority of universal human values, human life and health, and the free development of the individual;

- the secular character of education;

- the continuity of all types of educational institutions, the possibility of moving from lower levels of education to higher ones.

1.3. General management of the sector and coordination of the activities of all structures of the education system in the territory of the Simay City District of the Republic of Simay.

1.4. Developing the strategic policy for the development of the city's education sector, carrying out long-term planning for the development of the sector; preparing normative acts of local self-government bodies in the field of education. Developing and implementing city target programs for the development of education. Developing and implementing local education standards.

1.5. Implementing the norms of the Family Code of the Russian Federation within its competence and other normative documents on the social adaptation, pedagogical and medical-psychological rehabilitation of minors experiencing difficulties in learning and lagging behind in physical and mental development.

1.6. Development of the system of national education.
